Signing up for the Honey Locator

Who is Eligible to be listed on the Honey Locator?

Companies that produce or pack honey in the U.S. or companies that import honey for sale in the U.S. market may be listed on the Honey Locator.

U.S. Companies

A listing in the National Honey Board Locator is available free of charge to those individuals/companies located in the United States who have paid assessments in accordance with the Honey Packers and Importers Research, Promotion, Consumer Education and Industry Information Order as of May 22, 2008. Those who have not paid assessments may obtain a listing by paying a one-time fee of $50.00. Payment of this fee entitles the applicant to inclusion in the Honey Locator continuously, with no further fees, provided that your company responds to our annual renewal/update request. If no acknowledgement is received by the included deadline, then the listing will be dropped and listing again will require repayment of the fee.

Foreign Companies

Inclusion in the Honey Locator is also available free of charge to individuals/companies located outside the U.S. who have paid assessments in accordance with the Honey Packers and Importers Research, Promotion, Consumer Education and Industry Information Order as of May 22, 2008. Foreign companies may not pay a listing fee in lieu of paying import assessments.

How to Sign Up

If you meet the eligibility requirements above, you may download, print and complete the application here: Honey Locator Application (PDF file). After the application has been completed, please mail or fax it to the National Honey Board, using the address information on the application (also available below in the footer on this page.) If you have not paid assessments to the NHB in the last 18 months, please include the fee mentioned above.

You may also complete the application online. This will send all the information to the NHB in a formatted e-mail, but if a fee is required per the above description, there is no provision for paying online via credit card. You may, however, call in your credit card payment to the NHB at (800)553-7162, or simply send a check via U.S. mail.
